This technique shows how to work on the ascending/descending colon and thigh reflexes simultaneously, including those of the flexures and the knee. Working these reflexes together like this is a very effective way to stimulate digestion and remove compacted waste. ThisĀ  is because tightness in the knee joint will extend up the thigh then into the abdominal muscles, and tension here hinders the movement of waste through the ascending and descending colon. As these reflexes are found alongside each other on the lateral aspect of the feet, it is easy to work them together.
